Sport for life
Sport for Life is a movement that aims to enhance the contribution of sport to Canadian society. It recognizes sport as an important part of everyone’s life by promoting the healthy and meaningful development of every child through sport or physical activity.
The (Canadian) Sport for Life model offers programs for both the serious competitive athlete who wants to compete at the highest level and the average sports enthusiast who chooses sports for the exercise and the fun! As for the 30-plus people in our society, the Masters.
The (Canadian) Sport for Life model uses the Long-Term Athlete Development program (LTAD), which consists of 7 phases: Active Start, FUNdamentals, Learn to Train, Train to Train, Train to Compete, Train to Win and Active for Life.
The LTAD model has been adopted in many countries, with the first six phases fully developed. Then, at phase 7 (Active for Life) of the LTAD model, it often stops.
For over 15 years, I have been committed to offering and organizing an attractive competition program for this group of Masters.
